Hey there, I´m glad you found this place!

As long as I remember there has always been music in my head. Melodies and chord progressions unfolded like little blossoms on my way to school or while waiting at the checkout. While I never quite figured out where it all comes from, over the years I´ve acquired some tools to get the music out of my head and make it audible for others.

Finding Shinobi

Film Score

On the edge of Eastern Europe, Ivan and his dog, Shinobi, cling to a precarious existence in a shadowy landfill. They live by the scrap they collect, but when a conflict erupts with rival scavengers, Ivan must fight to survive, all to protect the one creature who made him feel human.
"Finding Shinobi" is a beautiful film by director Iliès Terki / Idle Films. Finding a musical language for the intimate relationship between Ivan and his dog was a beautiful challenge.
Currently, the film can only be watched in selected cinemas. If you have the chance, go and watch it.

Alin Coen - Atme Ein, Atme Aus

Recording

Alin Coen just wrote the song we all needed to hear. If everything is too much, just breathe for a while. The world is a beautiful place, even if it doesn't always seem that way.
It's always a joy to work with Alin. Check out her new album "Du bedeutest mir die Welt".

Cat Ray's debut EP "Songs Before Lovesongs" is out now wherever you listen to music. I was involved as producer and mixer and enjoyed every minute of it.
For me this is pop music at its best: Great writing, clever lyrics, a voice that wraps you in its warmth, real instruments played by real people. If you're into that kind of thing, give it a spin.

Bünger - Schatten

Bünger's new album "Schatten" is here now. I had the big honour of producing the whole thing and it was a liberating experience. We took lots of freedom to make unconventional choices, used strange sounds and instruments - never taking the pleasant route, but trying to create something that truly matters. I was able to play some of my favourite instruments, like my Ondomo, handpan, bowed electric guitars and an old zither I inherited from my grandfather.
"Die Brücke am Fluss" was written by Sebastian Madsen. I played an oddly tuned acoustic guitar and wrote the woodwind arrangement. But the whole album is full of dark stories, weird details and organic sounds like that. If you have a little time and ears go and have a listen!

KLINGER - Yearbook

A year ago, I embarked on a journey. The challenge I set for myself was to write and release a new piano piece every month. No bells and whistles, no overthinking, just the piano and me.
The whole Yearbook collection is out now via Blue Marble.

FYNN KLIEMANN - NUR

Fynn Kliemann's new album "NUR" is out and it went straight to No. 1 of the official German album charts. I contributed five piano reworks and some string arrangements. This is Fynn's music video for my version of his song "Regen".

PERSONA °4: Illo

Piano, Composition & Production

During the pandemic I started project called 'Persona : Perseverance'. The idea was to create musical portraits of people who were particularly affected by covid and its consequences.
Illo is a 96-year-old woman who became seriously ill, but survived. Living in a nursing home she was isolated from her loved ones while fighting for her life.

KLINGER - Dust

Composition & Production

What a beautiful video by M.R. Knox for my piano piece 'Dust'. It reminds me of childhood days, when I was staring at the wooden ceiling over my bed. I could find so many strange creatures in the abstract patterns of grain and knotholes - monsters and animals and witches - and I would make up their stories in my head. I love how this tickles my imagination.

VIVIE ANN - When The Harbour Becomes The Sea

Vivie Ann's second album "When The Harbour Becomes The Sea" is finally out. I was heavily involved in arrangements and instrumentation and I produced some of the songs in collaboration with great colleagues like Philipp Schwär, Tobias Siebert, Christian Hartung and Willy Löster. I picked "Windmills" here, because that´s one song I´m especially fond of. But you should really check out the whole album.
